Better Than Anything, featuring Sheila Jordan (vocals), Harvie S (bass) and Alan Broadbent (piano), was captured live at Kimball's East in Oakland in April of 1991 by San Francisco radio personality, Bud Spangler - himself a well-known jazz musician who revived these exquisite recordings shortly before his passing in 2014.

I am thankful the broadcast was revived and I was honored to co-produce this project - the only jazz recording I know of with the instrumentation of just vocal, piano and bass."
